1. Subject matter
1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) govern registration for and free participation in the events organised by BFC Media S.p.A. and by its publications and brands, including Forbes Italia, Robb Report Italia, Bluerating and Nautica, as described on the relevant registration page (the “Event”).

2.2 Partners and sponsors (“Sponsors”), indicated on the registration page, may take part in the Event. Sponsors are independent parties and receive Participants’ data only with their consent, as described in the Privacy Notice.
2.3 A “Participant” is the natural person who registers, in a personal capacity or on behalf of an organisation. A Participant acting for purposes outside their professional activity is a “Consumer” within the meaning of Legislative Decree 206/2005.
3. Registration
3.1 Registration is made by completing the form on the registration page and accepting the T&C. Registration is personal.
3.2 The Participant warrants that the data provided are true and up to date and that they are of legal age.
3.3 Registration is confirmed by sending the personal QR code. For “invitation-only” Events the request is subject to approval by BFC, which communicates the outcome by email.
4. Capacity, access and cancellation
4.1 Places are limited. Once capacity is reached, registrations are placed on a waiting list and confirmed in order of arrival if places become available.
4.2 The QR code is personal and non-transferable. At the entrance the staff may ask for an identity document to check that it matches the registration, without keeping a copy.
4.3 The Participant may cancel their registration at any time, free of charge, via the link in the confirmation email or by writing to eventi@bfcmedia.com.
4.4 BFC may change the date, time, venue or programme for organisational reasons or causes beyond its control, giving prompt notice by email. A Participant who does not wish to attend the changed Event may cancel free of charge.
4.5 A Participant with accessibility needs may report them to eventi@bfcmedia.com to receive assistance.
5. Free participation
Participation is free of charge, unless otherwise indicated on the registration page. The costs are borne by BFC, where applicable with the contribution of the Sponsors.
6. Participant’s obligations
The Participant undertakes to: (a) comply with the venue rules, the safety regulations and the instructions of the staff; (b) behave respectfully towards the people present; (c) not advertise products, services or brands other than those involved in the Event without BFC’s written consent; (d) not make full audio or video recordings of the talks for commercial use without authorisation.
7. Liability
7.1 BFC is responsible for the organisation of the Event in accordance with the law. In the event of cancellation or a significant change, BFC will promptly inform the Participant by email.
7.2 No safekeeping service for personal belongings is provided at the Event, unless a cloakroom is indicated.
7.3 The Participant is liable for damage caused wilfully or negligently to BFC, the Sponsors, other Participants or third parties during the Event.
8. Catering and allergens
8.1 The catering service, where provided, is entrusted to professional operators, who are responsible for food safety under the applicable legislation.
8.2 Information on allergens (Regulation (EU) 1169/2011) is available from the serving staff. Participants with allergies or intolerances are invited to ask for information before consumption.
9. Platforms and digital tools
9.1 The Platforms are managed by BFC, which undertakes to keep them available and secure but does not guarantee the absence of temporary interruptions.
9.2 BFC may use artificial intelligence systems to draft or translate Event descriptions and to create illustrative images. Content generated or significantly modified with AI is labelled as such under Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act). No decision on Participants’ registration or access is taken by automated means.
9.3 Where available, the Participant may add their QR code to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet; in that case the terms of those services also apply.
10. Intellectual property
Trademarks, logos, content and materials of the Event and of the Platforms belong to BFC, its publications, the Sponsors or their respective owners. The Participant undertakes to respect them and to comply with Law 633/1941.
11. Photography and audiovisual recording
11.1 BFC, as publisher of registered news publications, documents the Event with photos and videos and publishes them in the media of its publications (print, websites, social media, newsletters) for the purposes of news reporting and journalistic documentation, within the limits of Article 97 of Law 633/1941, Article 85 GDPR and the Journalists’ Code of Conduct.
11.2 Images are not used to advertise products or services of BFC or of third parties without the consent of the Participant who is recognisably portrayed.
11.3 The use of images does not give rise to any right to payment. The Participant may object on grounds relating to their particular situation, as indicated in the Privacy Notice, and may ask the staff not to be filmed or photographed in close-up.
12. Exclusion from the Event
12.1 Access to the Event is subject to compliance with clause 6, the venue rules and the safety instructions. In the event of a serious breach, dangerous behaviour or use of the QR code by a person other than the registrant, the staff may refuse access or ask the Participant to leave the area.
12.2 Administrative penalties imposed on BFC for acts attributable to the Participant may be charged to the Participant.
13. General provisions
13.1 The T&C are drawn up in Italian and English; in the event of conflict the Italian version prevails.
13.2 BFC may amend the T&C for justified reasons (legislative, organisational or safety changes). Amendments apply to new registrations from publication; Participants already registered are notified by email at least 7 days before the Event, save for safety emergencies, and a Participant who does not accept them may cancel free of charge.
13.3 The invalidity of any clause does not affect the others.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
14.1 The T&C are governed by Italian law. Consumers resident in another EU country nevertheless benefit from the mandatory provisions of their country.
14.2 The competent court is determined in accordance with the law. For disputes with Consumers, the court of the Consumer’s place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction (Article 66-bis of Legislative Decree 206/2005); the Consumer may also have recourse to the alternative dispute resolution bodies provided for by law.
